Scissortail Stays was established in 2023 as a bit of a leap of faith. What started as one renovation project — with no big business plan behind it — gradually turned into something more. After finishing the first home, we realized there was real potential to create comfortable, well-designed stays in Oklahoma City’s historic neighborhoods. One property became two, and over time it grew into a small collection of restored homes. We even have one more on the way! ​
All of our properties were originally built in the 1920s, and keeping their original character has always been important to us. We focus on preserving what makes them special — refinishing original hardwood floors, restoring trim and details — while updating kitchens and bathrooms to make them functional and comfortable for today’s guests.​

We had a great weekend at Jeremiah’s place! What a cool remodel of a 1920’s home – original hardwood floors, great details, lots of windows and a beautiful neighborhood as well. Really close to fun areas like Bricktown and downtown, lots nearby and close to the capitol building as well. Definitely recommend and makes me want to come back to OKC again soon! - Chanin
What a stunner! Jeremiah has renovated this space beautifully, cleverly, & with superb taste! The area is quiet, convenient, & peaceful - loved the historic vibe of the neighborhood. The condo is immaculate & features high-end everything, from appliances to furnishings & wonderful artwork. Furniture is comfortable & cozy, including the little fireplace. Beautiful new kitchen & bathrooms are stunning, too. Oh, & Jeremiah is a great guy, too - friendly, conscientious, & courteous! - Bonnie
